Whiteness: Fairly apt for impregnation     Duramen: Unsuitable for impregnation
Mechanisation
 
Sawing: It does not offer difficulties, but for its hardness
Drying: Relatively slow. Very little distortion risk
Brushing: Good but with certain risk of rough filaments in the event of interlaced fibre
Gluing: It does not offer difficulties
Nailing and screwing: Due to its hardness, it is advisable to bore holes with a drill previously
Finishing: Due to its rubber sachets, proper adherence of varnishes can be restrained on those spots.

Interiors and exteriors furniture. Indoor carpentry: doors, staircases, coverings, mouldings, skirting, friezes, flooring. Outdoor carpentry: doors and windows. Assembling carpentry for interiors and exteriors. Ornamental boards. Cooperage.
