Logs are debarked and sawn lengthways to produce two, three or four flitches.


Cooking and steaming of the logs prior to be transformed. Time used in this process varies according to the wood species and their thickness.


Flitches are placed into the flat or the rotary cutting machines where wood is sliced into veneer.
